An Update on Catalogue
We have made the difficult decision to close the Catalogue platform in its current form. Since the site’s launch in 2024, the rising costs of support and management mean we are no longer able to sustain ongoing operation. We had hoped to secure a further funding opportunity, but unfortunately it did not come to fruition, and it is with sincere regret that we confirm Catalogue will close in May.
While Catalogue will not continue as a standalone platform, the Legal Service will continue to support creatives. Users will also maintain continued access to expert knowledge and resources here at Copyright Licensing NZ.

A safe place to store your work.
Catalogue is a secure, cloud-based platform for your projects, contracts and important files. You can create up to 10 projects which can include an unlimited number of works, so you can group work together. The work(s) saved under each project can be a series of books or collection of paintings that you are working on. If you are a small publisher, you may use each project for a different writer, and the works would be their various titles.
We offer clear, specific support tailored to your work, so you always know where you stand. Our advice is based on actual copyright law, so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
Affordable and accessible legal advice through our Legal Service.
We're here to help you protect your creative rights, so all members who sign up with Catalogue have discounted access to our team of copyright law experts. Whether someone has used your work without permission, you need help drafting a contract, or you just have questions about your rights - our legal experts are here to help you take the next step.
To get you started, we’re offering FREE 15-minute legal consultations for a limited time. Legal consults are subsidised by the Manatū Taonga, Ministry for Culture and Heritage.
